There are two ways to log foods to previous days. You can either navigate to a previous day from your food timeline, and then go through any standard food logging workflow, or you can go through any standard food logging workflow, and then select the date and time you’d like to log to.
You can navigate to a previous day several ways. You can:
Swipe from left to right in the blank space of your food timeline to go back to the previous day.
Tap the left arrow beside the text at the top of the food timeline that reads “Today” (or “Yesterday,” “Tomorrow,” or a date). Tapping left will go back to the previous day.
Tap the text at the top of the food timeline that reads “Today” (or “Yesterday,” “Tomorrow,” or a date). Doing so will pull up a full-screen date picker. Tap on the day you’d like to navigate to.
Using the Calendar Week Banner near the top of the food timeline (the ovals showing the days of the current week, located just above the bars showing your calories and macros for the day), tap on the day you’d like to navigate to. If you’d like to select a day from a previous week, swipe from left to right on this element to go back to the previous week.
If you don’t see the Calendar Week Banner, you may have hidden it in your food timeline settings.
Once you reach the day you’d like to log food to, go through any standard food logging workflow to log food to that day.
Alternately, you can go through any standard food logging workflow, but before tapping “Log Items” from your plate:
Tap the calendar icon beside “Log Items.”
Select the date and time you’d like to log your food to.
Tap “Log to Date and Time.”
If you don’t see the option to log to a previous day when tapping the calendar icon, click the gear icon on the top right corner of your plate. Scroll down to “Time Logging,” and tap “Go to Time Logging Options.” Select the “Date Time Picker” interface instead of the “Time Pad” interface.
You can also use the plate banner builder to add the Date & Time Picker to your plate banner for easier access – this will allow you to access the Date & Time Picker without swiping down to view your plate first.
Logging food to a previous day will update your expenditure and coaching recommendations. So, if you’ve previously left some days blank, or you have several partially logged days, and you think those days with missing or incomplete food logging may be negatively impacting your nutrition recommendations, we’d recommend logging (or simply estimating) your nutrition intake for those missing meals or days.
