MacroFactor Help

Welcome to the MacroFactor Knowledge Base. This is where you can find anything you'd want to know about the basics of setting up a nutrition plan, or how to use all of the features in MacroFactor. We aimed to make the user interface as intuitive as possible, but MacroFactor has a lot of functions, features, and analytics that aren't present in most other nutrition apps, and our approach to food logging differs quite a bit from most other apps, so there will probably be a bit of a learning curve. This knowledge base will walk you through everything you need to know to get the most out of MacroFactor.

Nutrition Basics

Before we get down to MacroFactor's features and analytics, let's start with the educational component of the knowledge base. We have a series of pages that discuss core nutrition concepts so you can understand how we generate our recommendations, and how to tailor a nutrition plan to your own needs and preferences. You can find all of that information in the links below:

At its core, MacroFactor is an analytics-driven app. We use the weight and nutrition data you log to estimate your daily energy expenditure and make adjustments to your calorie and macronutrient targets. Since MacroFactor runs on data-driven insights, we believe you should be able to see what we see. In the links below, you can learn more about the prescriptive and descriptive analytics at the heart of MacroFactor.

You can do a lot of things in MacroFactor. There are features you'll use every day, features you may only use once or twice per year, and features that you may never use. This section of the knowledge base is a handy resource if you're new to MacroFactor and you're just learning about everything this app can do, or if you're a veteran user who can't remember where to find a configurable option you last edited nine months ago.
